A word about Carla

She was my favorite from the beginning of this season's Top Chef. A little weird, a little crazy but humble and kind in spite of all the pressure. And definitely the underdog of the bunch. I knew she was in trouble as soon as Casey from a previous season--someone who did NOT win, I should emphasize--came in to assist during the finale and convinced Carla to do the very types of things that made Casey lose in the first place. Like sous-vide, for goodness sake. 

I smelled trouble right after Carla agreed to put her meat in a plastic bag. Ah, well. I'm sure there will be an underdog to root for next season.
